This howto should show how to create CD-Images or Packages on a Harddisk which are the base to install FFChooser on a Windows-Computer.
After installing FFChooser on a PC, FFChooser will be startet only the first time after installing it directly after starting the computer.
Then FFChooser asks the user if he wants to use internet-explorer (as "normal") or install Firefox. To get the user to install Firefox
the program shows the user the advantages of Firefox. Beneath the user can choose the language in which he wants to get the information
and wants to install Firefox.

Files needed
The following files are needed for installing FFChooser:
- FFChooser.exe, newest version, available here
- Offline-Message-File, available here or createable:
Just start FFChooser and select each language you want to have. Now you should have a language-file of your wish in the same directory as you have startet FFChooser. But be sure to include at least English because this is the default-language of FFChooser (if no other language-mathing could be found)
- FirefoxSetup.exe (not neccessary, but good): Download the newest Firefox-Setup from here and save it as FirefoxSetup.exe .
Please, don't have any spaces,... in the Filename, just FirefoxSetup.exe
- vendorsettings.cfg (not neccessary): Here you can make some basic-tunings,... available here
Put all these files together in a directory of your wish and follow the steps written at the method you choose.
Method 1: Create a CD which launches FFChooser
Follow these steps:
- Create a autorun.inf file with the following content:
[autorun]
open=ffchooser.exe
- Burn autorun.inf toghether with the other files to a CD
- Insert this CD into a running ("preinstalled") system, FFChooser should start
- Press the "i"-key for installing FFChooser
- After installing is finished (CD-ROM-LED is going off), remove the CD
Method 2: Create a CD which installs FFChooser
Follow these steps:
- Create a autorun.inf file with the following content:
[autorun]
open=ffchooser.exe install
- Burn autorun.inf toghether with the other files to a CD
- Insert this CD into a running ("preinstalled") system, FFChooser should install, no message is shown
- After installing is finished (CD-ROM-LED is going off), remove the CD
Method 3: Install FFChooser from a Drive (USB-Stick, Network-Share,...)
Follow these steps:
- Create a install.cmd file with the following content:
ffchooser.exe install
- Copy install.cmd toghether with the other files to the Drive/Network-Share/USB-Stick,...
- On the preinstalled system just start "install.cmd" - This should install FFChooser, no message is shown if finished, but installing just takes secounds
